Admissions & Getting Started

Beginning treatment can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate the process alone. At New Horizon Care Centers, our team is committed to making the admissions process welcoming, supportive, and straightforward from your very first call.

Whether you are seeking support for substance use, mental health concerns, gambling disorder treatment, co-occurring disorders, or recovery support services, we are here to help you take the next step toward healing and stability.

Getting Started

01

Talk to Someone

Whether it’s a free walk-in evaluation, a phone call, or you’re coming into a program on your first day, we’ll make sure you get connected with the right people.

02

Complete an Assessment

A chemical dependency or behavioral health assessment helps identify your needs and determine appropriate treatment recommendations. Assessments may be completed through New Horizon Care Centers or another qualified provider.

03

Submit Required Information

Depending on the program you are entering, requested documentation may include:

  • Assessment or referral paperwork
  • Insurance or Medicaid information
  • Medication information and prescriptions
  • Court or legal documentation (if applicable)

Our admissions team will review your information and discuss eligibility, placement options, and program availability.

04

Schedule Admission or Intake

Once approved, our staff will coordinate your intake appointment, admission date, or placement on a waitlist if needed. We work closely with referral sources, detoxification facilities, courts, healthcare providers, and community partners to support a smooth transition into care.

05

Start Getting Help That Lasts

Upon admission, you will meet with staff to complete intake paperwork, review treatment expectations, and begin developing an individualized care plan tailored to your goals and strengths.
